![]() If you are a foodie or enjoy a town with art and culture, a week in Santa Barbara would be he perfect vacation, especially if you stay at one of the hotels on State Street like this one. We walked or biked to dinner every night and loved exploring the city. If you need a room for you and a friend, I think this is the perfect place to stay! It’s location next to the beach and the Funk Zone make it such a convenient place to be and really give you a vibe if the city. They even have taffy set out for you to take, which was a nice touch. The staff at this resort were incredibly helpful and accommodating at all times. I much preferred to use the jogging path in the morning and go on a sunrise run! The views were just unbeatable especially around sunrise and sunset. They have started offering day passes to a CrossFit gym across the street though, so that’s a better option for working out. It is basically just a cramped room with a treadmill. ![]() They also have a gym, but it is minuscule. We took these out one day and had such a fun time exploring Santa Barbara on bikes! You can’t really adjust the seat height of the bikes, but it was still manageable to use for a bike ride around town. We also found everything at this hotel to be immaculately cleaned.Īs far as amenities go, the best one was that they had beach cruiser bikes available to rent for free. There was plenty of room for us to get ready in the morning. I was relieved that the bathroom was larger here than it was in Atlanta since my Mom and I were both staying on this visit. There was no mini fridge, which was a bummer because we couldn’t take any leftovers from all the delicious restaurants in the area! Other than that, the room had everything we needed though and was very comfortable There was just enough room for the king bed, a desk and a small cabinet. The rooms fit that description as well, even with the small size. The hotel has a modern Art Deco theme that goes along well with the area. But during the week I was there, I found that the pros out weighted the cons. It is one of the more affordable options in the area unless you want to pay with points, then it costs a ridiculous 50,000 points a night! The downsides of the location are that it is on the small side and lacks a pool or breakfast area, and you have to use valet parking which can be inconvenient. It is on State Street which is right in the heart of Santa Barbara and walking distance from the beach. The location was what really stood out to me when booking this hotel. ![]() Their rewards program is not nearly as good as Hyatt or Marriott, but I was glad I could earn some more rewards here.
